Leo is the fifth sign of the Zodiac. Member of the Fixed Quality, Masculine, and Fire Element. The symbol of Leo is the animal's mane and its ruling planet is the Sun. According to Greek mythology, the lion was a mystical beast known as the Lion of Nemea. This one lived in a cave with two entrances from which he came out to spread terror in the nearby villages. Heracles, son of Zeus, to redeem himself from his crimes and become immortal, submitted to the will of Euristeus and agreed to do twelve works. One of those missions was to kill the Nemean Lion, a feat considered impossible for an ordinary mortal.

The cunning Heracles, knowing that the lion was immune to weapons, managed to kill him with his own hands, strangling him. Realizing the protective powers of the lion's skin, the hero skinned the monster by making a cloak from its skin and a helmet from its head. After his defeat, the Leo spirit was placed in heaven as the constellation of Leo, in honor of his mythical power and magical strength.
